Verizon is Stepping Up Its Game… “iDevices” or Droid?

iPhone 4 or HTC ThunderBolt Droid?
With the launch of Verizon’s iPhone it makes one think… “Do I want an iPhone after all?” for many of us who have not embraced the world of Apple and Macs AND there are other forms of Google based-windows technology for us to appreciate.

Check out the new HTC ThunderBolt. This phone creates a win-win scenario for those of us who are reluctant to switching to all iThings. The HTC ThunderBolt is Verizon's first 4G LTE smartphone.
All I can say is that the iPhone 4 lacks in: 4G, Adobe Flash, Turn-by-Turn GPS navigation, pre-installed SWYPE capability, dedicated touch keys, FM radio, the capability to expand storage to 32G and maxing it out for a total of 40G storage.
Now enter the iPad vs. Xoom
The Motorola Xoom debuted last night during the Super Bowl commercials. I have been Jones’ing for a tablet gadget for quite some time and here again, I was on the fence with Apple. But after doing more research, I found that the Xoom definitely has more to offer this gal when comparing it to the Apple iPad 32GB/3G model.
The Xoom offers a 3G/WiFi enabled device (upgradeable to 4G LTE) with a dual-core Nvidia processor, a larger display of 10.1” and a higher resolution of 160 dpi. The RAM offers a more than ample 1GB compared to the 256MB and can record video at 720p speed.
Other bells and whistles in Xoom include: Google's Android 3.0 “Honeycomb” operating system, Google Talk with video chat, and 2 cameras –  a 2MP front camera and 5MP back camera. Plus, the Xoom offers HDMI and USB ports which I like for business.
So there you have it. Verizon definitely has game with its HTC ThunderBolt and Motorola’s Xoom. For more specifics on comparing the two phones, there is a fantastic visual comparison table at http://goo.gl/drRja . To view the comparisons of the iPad and the Xoom, visit http://goo.gl/pYKnq .
