Have you seen the movie Julie & Julia from Sony pictures? It is a story about how a culinary legend (Julia Child) provides a frustrated office worker (Julie Powell) with inspiration and a new recipe for life. Along the journey, Julie becomes inspired to not only whip up 524 recipes in 365 days but to blog about her experiences. Factoid: this is the first major motion picture based on a blog!
Over the next couple of months I am going to use AVA as a forum too much like Julie did in the movie to share over 300 ways to use simple social media to boost your marketing. I am very excited about sharing the big picture of social media marketing as well as the smaller effective components. Topics will cover A thru Z with regards to blogging and micro blogging, social networking, social bookmarking, multimedia, review and opinion forums, and last but not least wikis.
I will share with you tools of the trade with appropriate strategies and useful tips. The goal is for you to gain information so that you are well equipped to create, market, and make money from various forms of social media. You do not need all aspects of social media marketing to be successful. Take one and try it out; maximize it to your benefit and leverage these free tools for your marketing your business. The best social media campaigns are built up consistently over time.
